Job Description: Security Operations Center (SOC) Workflow Intern

You'll be a vital part of our team, focusing on refining SOC processes in this one-month internship. Develop and implement four use cases with playbooks to enhance SOC workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1. Use Case Identification:

   • Collaborate with SOC analysts to identify key scenarios and recurring patterns.
   • Analyze historical incident data for automation opportunities.

2. Playbook Development:

   • Develop playbooks for incident detection, analysis, and response.
   • Align playbooks with industry best practices.

3. Automation Integration:

   • Integrate automation scripts into playbooks.
   • Automate repetitive tasks for efficient SOC operations.

4. Documentation and Training:

   • Create detailed documentation for each use case and playbook.
   • Assist in training SOC team members.

Use Case Examples:

1. Phishing Incident Response:

   • Develop a playbook for efficient phishing incident response.

2. Malware Detection and Eradication:

   • Create a playbook for identifying and eradicating malware.

3. Unauthorized Access Detection:

   • Design a playbook for detecting and responding to unauthorized access attempts.

4. Data Exfiltration Response:

   • Develop a playbook for swift response to potential data exfiltration incidents.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Basic understanding of SOC operations and incident response.
• Eagerness to learn new cybersecurity tools and automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
